What if the real story of Santa isn’t what you’ve always been told?

The Magic of Christmas Reimagined

The elves, the reindeer, the sleigh, the way Santa got his start—none of it is what you think. Follow the story of Cal, a regular guy with a love for making things who can’t seem to find his place in the world. But when he joins the army and ends up in France during the Great War, he stumbles upon the magic of Christmas—and his true purpose.

A Christmas Wish is an original novella by C.W. Wetzel.

About the Author

C.W. Wetzel has held a most unlikely list of jobs: chef, roustabout, car salesman, teacher, busboy, dishwasher, board-road crew member, tubing fitter’s helper, waiter, cook, sexton, resume writer, and dean. All those crazy experiences make him better at what he does now: write. Along the way, he also earned a BA and an MA in English from the University of New Orleans.

C.W. (a.k.a Charlie) wrote the screenplay for the Crystal Heart award-winning short film “The Candy Shop” starring Doug Jones, as well as an unproduced feature screenplay.

On the nonfiction side, he and his wife Stephanie recently wrote The Marvel Studios Story and The Spanx Story. C. W. has written nearly a hundred books with leadership expert John C. Maxwell, including six New York Times bestsellers. And he has also co-authored three books with Kevin Myers, the most recent being the upcoming The Second Happy: 7 Practices to Make Your Marriage Better than Your Honeymoon (2021).

When he’s not writing, C. W. is cooking, reading, traveling, running, or trying out watersports at his north Georgia home with Stephanie, his wife of twenty-six years, or with their three adult children.
